The Xtar R30 1200 is a rechargeable flashlight that has a maximum output of 1200 lumens white light from a Cree XP-L2 W2 LED.
Four white brightness levels are available, as well as SOS and strobe, all of which are controlled by a single push button. Press the button to turn the light on and then single press to cycle through low, mid, high, turbo and hold the button to turn the light off. the last used brightness setting will be remembered next time the light is turned back on (after it has been off for 3 seconds). In any state, double press the button to access the strobe function, or triple press the button to access the SOS function.
A 21700 rechargeable lithium-ion battery is included and can be charged inside the torch via a USB-C charging port on the side of the torch. Remove the dust cover to connect the included cable to the USB-C port and then plug the USB-A end into a USB power source with an output of at least 1 A. The charging indicator beneath the button will glow red to show charging is in progress and turn solid once charging is complete, after approximately 5 hours.
The USB-C port can also be used as a power bank to charge external devices, however as the torch only has a USB-C port you may need a different cable than the one supplied to charge external devices, such as a USB-C to USB-C cable to charge a phone with a USB-C port.
The indicator under the button also illuminates to show the remaining battery power, with solid green showing between 25%-100% power, a solid red light showing 18%-25% power and a red flashing light showing less than 18% power meaning that the torch should be charged as soon as possible to prevent battery damage.
A wrist lanyard is included for extra security while carrying the flashlight and is also useful for hanging the torch when not in use.
