The belts are crafted from non-abrasive Norton cloth, providing a more stable and consistent base for applying polishing compounds compared to traditional leather strops.
Unlike leather, these cloth belts require no maintenance and won t stretch over time. Extensive testing led Work Sharp to discontinue the use of leather for stropping, concluding that Norton cloth belts are more efficient, faster, and require less polishing paste.
