The Spyderco Para Military 2 is a compact and refined version of the iconic Military folder. This lightweight variant replaces traditional G10 composite scales with much lighter FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) featuring bi-directional non-slip texturing for a secure grip in all conditions. Built with a fully demountable Torx-screwed construction, it is easy to clean and adjust. Manufactured at the Spyderco factory in Golden, Colorado, USA.
The blade is crafted from CTS BD1N, an American martensitic stainless steel enriched with high carbon, chromium, and nitrogen (0.10%–0.15%). Offering a fine-grained structure, exceptional corrosion resistance, and impressive edge retention, it can achieve a working hardness of up to 63 HRC.
The modified Clip Point blade features a Full Flat Grind for extreme cutting efficiency and sharpness. The signature round SpyderHole allows for effortless one-handed opening, even while wearing gloves. The patented Compression Lock mechanism provides extreme strength, durability, and user safety by keeping fingers out of the path of the blade during release. A reversible stainless steel wire clip allows for versatile Tip-Up carry.
