Sandvik® 14C28N blade - sharpness and durability you can rely on. The 92mm long blade is made of Swedish 14C28N stainless steel hardened to 57-59 HRC. Swedish 14C28N steel is an excellent choice when it comes to an EDC knife. Manufactured by the Swedish company, Sandvik 14c28n stainless steel has a high chromium content (14%), which provides impressive corrosion resistance and good cutting edge retention. The high carbon and manganese content (0.62%) makes 14C28N steel hard (about 58 HRC) and resistant to wear. One of the biggest advantages of 14C28N, in addition to its high corrosion resistance, is its ease of sharpening, which means that we can also handle blade repair in the field with a pocket sharpener. The slim Japanese Tanto profile blade has a black finish, which gives an elegant style and masks the formation of minor scratches during daily use. Tanto provides effective penetration and good cutting qualities, but note that sharpening a blade with this profile is more labor-intensive and requires more time.
