2021, a folding knife with fork and D-ring from the Portuguese company MAM. Ultralight, compact, with simple, ergonomic lines and a traditional port wine barrel-shaped handle. Functional, easy to transport, an indispensable travel accessory, a perfect gift idea, and an ideal promotional gadget. Always at hand!
MAM Filmam, one of the oldest knife manufacturers (since 1870), boasts a 150-year tradition and is renowned worldwide. Called Palacoula by its users, it is also known as Operario. It takes 55 operations to produce a single pocket knife. Hand-sharpened. Official supplier to the Portuguese Naval Academy. Made in Portugal.
All MAM Filmam knife blades are made of high-quality AISI 420 stainless steel from the German Thyssen-Krupp steelworks, which is processed and hardened to the same standards as VG-10 steel. This allows for the maximum utilization of 420 steel s potential. Additions of molybdenum, vanadium, silicon, and carbon allow the steel to be hardened to 57 HRC, providing strength, ductility, machinability, and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content creates chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and maintaining the cutting edge s sharpness after hardening. Special machines are used for processing, regularly tested by company technicians.
Knife and fork - these mini cutlery sets are perfect for work/office, camping, picnics, and when traveling.
The blade features a Drop Point profile and is 1.4 mm thick. Crafted from high-quality German (ThyssenKrupp) AISI 420 stainless steel, the smooth, plain blade features a full flat grind, which, combined with the blade s thinness, provides above-average cutting properties. The knife opens with a nail nick.
The handle is made from a single piece of light-colored, durable, lightweight beechwood, finished with reinforcing rings on both sides. The contoured grip eliminates fatigue even during prolonged use. The manufacturer s logo is burned into one side of the handle. The handle is impregnated four times, making it resistant to moisture and water, both fresh and saltwater.
