AUS-10 - Japanese stainless steel, often compared to 440C series steel, and for good reason, as the compositions are similar, but these minor differences make AUS-10 harder (hardened usually to around 60 HRC) and dulls more slowly, without losing its rust resistance. Knives made of this steel are relatively cheap and will be a great choice if our budget is not too high and we care about stainless.
Blade - reverse tanto type, finished with a scratch-masking and glare-preventing Bead Blasted finish. The long cutting edge, with a prominent belly, converges toward the needle-sharp tip of the wide blade. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind guarantees excellent cutting properties.
