14C28N - a martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by Sandvik s Swedish mills. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Blade - Spear Point type finished masking minor scratches by Silver Bead Blasted method. The generous belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The small thickness of the blade combined with a high flat grind (Flat Grind) gives excellent cutting properties combined with high durability. Ceramic ball bearings support the smooth opening of the blade, which can be opened with an index-finger flipper that acts as a gut when opened. As a result, it can be easily used by both right- and left-handed people. To maintain full control of the blade, there is a notched thumb rest on the back of the upper jimping wedge. The whole thing is locked with a solid Frame Lock.
Handle - on the presentation side it is made of rough Micarta, pressure-pressed canvas with resin, while on the lock side it is made of stainless steel. Chamfered cover edges eliminate sharp edges for comfortable grip. An open-backed design fixed with steel spacer sleeves reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. The pivot axis is decorated with a stylized Civivi brand logo. A single-position, right-side deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up).
