The Ganzo G626-GS is an eye-catching EDC knife that uses a support tanto blade made from 440 stainless steel, a quick flap-folding method and a proven insert lock.
The full size 96mm long blade is made from 440 stainless steel which is highly resistant to damage and corrosion. 440 steel has less retention, but the ease and speed of sharpening makes up for it. These steel properties mean that the Ganzo G626-GS EDC knife is designed for less demanding users and people just starting their knife adventures and outdoor activities.
The thin blade with a Japanese tanto profile has a dark matte surface that contrasts effectively with the red color of the coating. Tanto provides effective penetration and good cutting properties, but be aware that sharpening the blade with this profile takes a little more time.
The knife can be folded out easily and quickly with one hand using the pin. This method is convenient for both right-handed and left-handed people, allowing you to control the knife even with gloves. The opening process is facilitated by a spring-loaded support mechanism. Pressing the spring activates an internal spring that dynamically deploys the blade, making the knife ready for use in a fraction of a second.
The classic insert-lock, appreciated for its durability and ease of use, effectively prevents accidental folding of the blade. The mechanism consists of a spring band that locks the blade in place against the back. The Ganzo G626-GS knife has a simple plastic sheath with a decorative graphic with a spider motif. Carrying the knife discreetly in your pocket is facilitated by a deep steel carrying clip (end down, no possibility to change position).
